Just whilst my Mac's in for repair, I'm having to use a PC. Trying to replicate the experience though, and I have to say that GNOME Do is a fantastic piece of software, far superior to Spotlight or even Quiksilver.
What OS are you running and version and how did you get it to look that good?

I've been reading a number of comments from a variety of sources since the iPhone runs OSX it is a pocket-size Mac. Applications, Widgets etc will all be written for this device which will all be OSX compatible.
Laptops and desktops, iLife etc. will all be announced in good time. However the iPhone is a revolutionary device. So much so that RIMM and Palm both fell today on the stock market. The iPhone, like the original iPod, have established a new standard.

ok, i got a new m100 bt earpiece (i swear, i ONLY use it when i'm at my desk; never on the street LOL).
it automatically put a battery icon on my status bar. am impressed...is it coming from the earpiece itself? it's only there (of course) when the m100 is connected.
any way to hide/disable/kill it? i don't understand how it gets there (so can't figure out how to remove it).

Does anybody know of any FREE software which i can record my podcast's. I currently use Audacity but im not getting on with it. Im after one where i can line up the songs ready so i click button and it plays click another and records from mic.

Front row is pretty good, and it would probably already be on your computer. Shows album cover and song name on song playing in full screen.

still not worth it.
But for those of you that it is worth it (or have money enough to not care), and are clamoring about an iCal feature, Leopard server has some of that stuff in there, so who knows, it may also be in the works.

When you take forever to get the phone on VZW you should expect people to take their time switching.
First, you've let Android have all that time to get a following because it's the only alternative for the lack of an iPhone. Those people have also bought apps that they now enjoy and would have to re-purchase on the iPhone. This happens with video game systems as well.
Second, people are in 2yr contracts. There are very few people who are willing to pay more for a phone they can buy 4 months later at half price on top of the termination fee.
Third, not that many people hate AT&T it's just the handful of VZW fans that make it look that way.
And finally you have the reporting and reviews. All the reports I saw were telling VZW people and potential switchers to hold off on getting the iPhone 4. No 4G, no white and still had the questionable signal issues. The "iPhone 5" was supposed to come out mid to late summer so people were concerned Apple would sell them a phone and then jump up 6 months later with the newer, thiner, better version and leave folks hanging.
People are paying attention to these reports and that's why I feel the numbers were low.

I hate AT&T with a passion. Yet, I'd never switch to Verizon because I'm hooked on 3Mbps + speeds. They're the crack of carriers.
AT&T is the worst company I have ever had. We dropped them 6+ years ago for a reason. They always tried to get away with charging a little extra on the bill.. Your a bajillion dollar company and you have to scam people out of extra money? Rot in HELL!

This really reminds me of when ipods launched. People then were also saying too expensive/where's the need/existing alternatives.
This is another launch like that: I was looking at getting a Nokia E61 over a Blackberry as the email support was better. I was also interested in Three in the UK's X Series as it offers Skype, Yahoo etc. But the iphone blows all that away.
I can't think of a single product with the same significance as the iphone will have. Not just because of what it can do but because it's from Apple. In 2-3 years this will be the phone everyone has like now the ipod is the music player everyone has.
To Steve it really must feel like starting over.
Imagine taking for granted that your friends/contacts/family/customers/clients will be on email/online wherever they are let alone that you will be too.
From every angle this is going to change how businesses are run and how we interact with each other forever.

We get a full year of support on hardware and software, and have Applecare for beyond year 1. So limited OS support is FUD.
I don't think it is FUD. For example, Microsoft's last support for WinXP Pro ends in April of 2014 � that is over 12 years of support from the vendor.

Well, to be fair, you express hate toward Apple constantly. And given the conspiracy ideas in your signature, you are plenty upset about lots of things in your life. So I would hardly consider you a typical case. Apple could offer free computers tomorrow and you'd instantly post a message expressing your hatred of Apple for doing that.
