Kirupa, thanks but when I started a new empty xaml file to test your code I got quite a few errors. I'm using the June 2.5 Preview so I don't know if that's the cause of the errors but I've attached a screenshot with the code and errors.

I was holding H4 visa before I started using the EAD.
Relinking the 485 with my approved NIW 140 is probably not going to work as my priority date for that is Feb,2008 and it is not current yet.

Ok, what I posted is from these guidelines http://www.hooyou.com/lc/perm_eb2vseb3.html , EB2 used to be easier before PERM, it is also possible if position is job zone 4 but SVP is 8 or higher to go via EB2- PERM, I hope you are right in disagreeing though.

I am asking because my 6 years ends on December 1st this year, so if I move in June this year and immediately apply for extension, I should be alright correct?
Also, how will I apply for the extension? Do I just need to send the copy of the I-140 approval notice? What about the fact that my current employer has actually submitted the petition and my job-description etc? I guess if someone could explain this a bit more, I would really appreciate.

it means you don't have any experience in US politics, your relative is right election year is going to play some rule in immigration politics, democrats are pitching of hispanic votes they will try to do everything possible to get their vote, but main concern here is American public are against increase in any form of immigration. so odds are itz going to be counter productive for us as our case always depends on illegals.
so your relative is right but itz better for you to change job and get along with your life, if they laws are changed for better you can start your GC with new company and get it without losing lot of time, if not atleast your going to make good money

How long did it take for your MTR process from the time you submitted till the time your attorney received the I485 re-opening letter?
Specifically, how long after sending MTR did you get the receipt notice that MTR was receive and how many days after that did the letter to reopen arrive?

Thanks for the reply. My lawyer told me that she has seen a case when the green card application was accidently submitted with a copy of an expired passport, and there wasn't any problem. However, she's not certain if this is what happens with every application submitted with an expired passport.

My I-94 has expired becoz it was issued up to my passport validity. If I have to renew it, is it a good option to cross border and get a new I-94, like going to Mexico or Canada. Please advice. I am not sure how to proceed. No one knows the procedure. Please if anyone knows, advice.
Since your I-94 is already expired, you need to consult an attorney. Assuming that it wasnt expired..you could have re-entered from Canada/ Mexico using your new passport, assuming you have a valid visa, and they would have issued you a new I-94 at the border crossing.

On September 8, 2010, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
Don't know what does this mean to my case and it is good or bad.
Does any one had been through this ?

Hello,
I had to go to India due to a family emergency (death in family) in middle of my project. I have a new H1B and went for Stamping at Delhi Consulate on Nov 2nd. I got issued a 221G green form, to which I submitted the document requested on same day. 3 business days later I received a email from Consulate with another 221 G green form asking for all the documents. I sent all the documents via VFS on Nov 10th.
I haven't heard back from the consulate yet. In the mean time, my husband used his contacts to approach a congresswoman who has been involved in immigration cases. She has agreed to take my case with the Consulate. But what I am seeing on the forums is that if Congresswoman write letter to the consulate can jeopardize the case by unnecessarily pressuring the Consular.
It has been little over a week I submitted documents and I see that consulate is usually taking 2-3 weeks to respond. Please suggest if I should have the congresswoman write to the consulate or wait for the it to take the natural process and pray for the best?
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

I don't think your EB2 was automatically ported. This approval is one of the USCIS's unknown GC processing strategy. I have known two cases in EB3 got approved when PD's were in "Unavailable", Yes, its for EB3-I.
Don't think too much, have a professional advise and Enjoy your freedom.

There is place in the I-9 , Alien Authorized to work unitll, you need to provide the H1 information instead of the EAD information. Also instead of Alien#, you need to provide Admissible # which is on I-94 of new H1B. When some one submit I-9 form you need to show the Passport and you H1B copy. That way you are sure that you are using H1B.
